Aditya Roy Kapur is a director's actor

Mumbai, Mar 24 (IBNS): Actor Aditya Roy Kapur is keeping away from reading the novel Great Expectations on which his upcoming film is based.
The young actor was suggested by his friends to read the novel before he starts the shoot for this film.

The novel could have given him a better understanding of the nuances of his character.

However, Aditya who had never read the book does not even want to read it.
Aditya, who is a director’s actor, wants to follow his director Abhishek Kapoor’s vision.

He plays a very intense role in the film. He doesn't want pre convinced notions of the book's character.

He did not want to get out of the perspective of what Gattu has given him about his character.

According to him, even if a film is an adaptation of any novel, a director has a complete different visualization of his characters and how he would like his actors portraying them. That’s one of the main reasons why he wants to go with his director’s vision rather than reading the novel.
