Mumbai: Actor Anil Kapoor on Monday said he is preparing for the most exciting role of his life of being the grandfather.
His daughter and actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja earlier in the day announced she is expecting her first child.
"Now preparing for the most exciting role of my life - GRANDFATHER!! Our lives will never be the same again and I couldn’t be more grateful! @sonamakapoor & @anandahuja you have made us happy beyond measure with this incredible news!" Kapoor tweeted.

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and her husband Anand Ahuja on Monday announced pregnancy with the former sharing a picture of her baby bump on social media.
Sonam, the daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, shared a post on Instagram where she is seen cradled by Ahuja as she lies down keeping hands on her baby bump.
She wrote, "Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support.
"We can’t wait to welcome you. #everydayphenomenal #comingthisfall2022."
Sonam and Ahuja tied the knot in 2018.
