Bollywood celebrities thank Oscars for remembering Sridevi, Shashi Kapoor

Mumbai, Mar 5 (IBNS): Bollywood celebrities on Monday joined hands to thank  Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science for paying tributes to late Indian actors- Shashi Kapoor and Sridevi-in the In Memoriam segment at the 2018 Oscars ceremony.

Rishi Kapoor, who had worked with Sridevi in Bollywood movies, posted: " Oscars. Thank you for remembering Shashi Kapoor and Sridevi. Thrilled to see the name Raj Kapoor as the executive producer of the show. We are on the threshold of world cinema!"

Rishi and Sridevi had worked together in movies like Chandni and Nagina.

Sridevi passed away in Dubai last month.

Actress Vidya Balan tweeted: "The Oscars paid tribute to our beloved Sridevi...#YourLegacyLivesOn."

Actor Varun Dhawan remarked: " So amazing to see the #oscars pay respect to #shashikapoor and #sridevi #Oscar90."

Actor Arjun Rampal tweeted: " Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor in Oscars Memoriam. What true great stars we have lost. #oscars90."

Superstar Shashi Kapoor passed away last year.
