Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan turns 55
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who is also known as Mr. Perfectionist, turned 55 on Saturday.
Khan began his acting journey as a child artist in Nasir Hussain's Yaadon Ki Baaraat which released in 1973.
Though he began his journey as an adult actor in film Holi, the actor mesmerised as the lead actor in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which released in 1988.
Khan mesmerised the audience with his romantic role in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.
Then he went on to be a part in films like Raja Hindustani, Sarfarosh.
Post 2000, he decided to tread on a different path by featuring in diverse characters.
Shedding his romantic hero avatar, Khan impressed the audience with his acting skills in Lagaan, Fanaa, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK and the very recent Secret Superstar.
Though his last film Thugs of Hindostan didn't fare well in the box office, Khan looks promising with his new role in Laal Singh Chaddha which is slated to release on Dec 25.
On the occasion of his birthday, actress Madhuri Dixit Nene tweeted, "Here's to the man who is not only wise but also kind and thoughtful. On your special day, I wish you lots of happiness. May you enjoy this fantastic day to the fullest. Happy birthday @aamir_khan, have a fabulous one."
