Mumbai, Mar 18 (IBNS): Over the past week, Gabbar from Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 'Gabbar is Back' took over the country with a strong call to fight against corruption.
Various banners from the film took over the nation with words like, “Har ek cheez pe rishwat lena aur dena band karo…warna gabbar aa jayega”,”Corruption Derailed’,”Ab bus karo corruption” to list a few.

Powerful dialogues like “ab tera kya hoga kaliya?” formed the crux of the four teaser videos that were released recently. Along with this, a special Whatsapp number was also shared with the audience urging them to join the ‘Gabbar Army’ that saw fans go crazy supporting the vigilante in every way they could.

Fans that messaged on the Whatsapp number were asked to send a selfie with the Gabbar mask in order to win a chance to meet the Khiladi of Bollywood ‘Akshay Kumar’ at the film’s grand trailer launch next week.

So far, more than 20,000 messages have been received on the phone number showcasing the anticipation this film has created. With more than 10,000 contacts on its list, the Whatsapp number is a testimony to the buzz generated ever since the film’s teaser poster was released last week. Most of them have changed their display images to ‘Gabbar’ mask and have been continuously communicating on the phone number to show their support.

‘Gabbar is Back’ is directed by famous director from the South, Krish and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. Featuring Akshay Kumar and Shruti Haasan, the film is slated to release on May 1.
