Here is why Radhika Apte needed no prepping for Choker Bali

Mumbai, July 8 (IBNS) Young actress Radhika Apte who received immense critical acclaim and accolades for her performance in two of her recent releases in the first half of the year; Badlapur and Hunterrr will now be seen in Anurag Basu’s teleseries, Stories by Rabindranath Tagore.

The actress is part of one of the stories of the series - Chokher Bali.

Her role which is one of the most important characters in the story was a very challenging one.

Despite that there was absolutely no preparation involved to portray the character.

Anurag Basu wanted Radhika to be spontaneous and not come prepared.

He feels that she is a powerful performer and it would be just appropriate to capture her raw.

That's why the actress did not even read the entire story before shoot. Anurag Basu gave her scenes on the day of the shoot and they shot it quickly.

He is very happy with the way it has turned out and Radhika has got very positive response from all those who have seen it.

Radhika shares, "Yes, this was one of those characters where I chose not to do much preparation. In fact I even asked Anurag if I should read the story before we shoot but he was keen that I come on set without any baggage and just take every scene as it comes. I guess it has worked brilliantly for us. I am very happy with the feedback."
