Mumbai, Sept 28 (IBNS): Herry Tangiri who is all excited about his role of Yuvraj Singh in the Dhoni biopic, not only had to go two months of intensive training but also had to lose 15 kgs in order to fit the role of Yuvraj Singh.

Talking about the same Herry said, “To get into the character of Yuvraj Singh, I had to train to play left handed for two month, not only that I had to also lose 15 kgs in order to look like Yuvraj. I play his character when he is playing Ranji Trophy and when he was younger. Neeraj Sir and the production team had hired a dietitian who looked after what I ate and made sure I lost the weight.”

The actor further added, “Being a Punjabi and a foodie, it was very difficult for me, but my dedication towards the character helped me control my eating habits. Even Yuvraj’s father with whom I shared screen space in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag said, I looked like his son which is a huge compliment for me.”

This is Herry Tangiri’s second biopic.

The actor was also seen in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and interestingly the actor was asked to put on 12kgs for that role.
