Mumbai/IBNS: A day after businessman and former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi called Sushmita Sen his "better half" in his social media post and shared pictures of them vacationing together, the actress has finally spoken up clarifying she is "not married" and in a "happy place".

Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi have been trending ever since the latter made their relationship social media official.

In her Instagram post, Sen shared a picture with her daughters Renee and Alisah and captioned it saying: "I am in a happy place. Not married, no rings...Unconditionally surrounded by love. Enough clarification given... Now back to life and work! Thank you for sharing in my happiness always...and for those who don't...it's NOYB anyway. I love you guys."

Lalit Modi Thursday took the internet by storm as he announced a "new beginning" with Sushmita Sen and called her his "better half".

"Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives #sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic)," Lalit Modi tweeted at first.

Initially, the fans went into a frenzy as they were discussing if the two were married. However, Modi quickly responded clarifying that the two are just "dating".

Later he made his relationship with Sushmita Sen official by sharing this post and writing: "Just back in London after a whirling global tour. Maldives, Sardinia with the families - not to mention my better looking partner Sushmita Sen - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon. In love does not mean marriage yet. But one day that by God's grace will happen. I just announced that we are together."

Lalit Modi left India in 2010 after facing investigations into tax evasion and money laundering. He has been in London since then.

Sushmita Sen was crowned the Miss Universe in 1994. She made her Bollywood debut in the 1996 film Dastak. She has featured in films such as Biwi No 1, Do Knot Disturb, Main Hoon Na, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge and No Problem. she is now a very prominent face on the OTT with her popular show Aarya.
