International Yoga Day: Bollywood stars practise traditional exercise, inspire fans to stay fit

It is International Yoga Day and several Bollywood stars set fitness goals for their fans by performing the traditional exercise practice.

They shared their images and videos on Instagram platforms which will surely drive you to adopt the habit in your daily lifestyle.

Known for practising yoga, Shilpa Shetty Kundra posted on Instagram: " Every emotion is connected with the breath. If you change the breath and its rhythm with awareness, you can change the emotion This Yoga Day, let’s make every breath count ."

She may not have shared today her daily regime of practising yoga, but Dunki actress Taapsee Pannu practices the age-old exercise and often shares image of it on social media platforms.

Last year, she posted an image of her yoga session and wrote on  Instagram: " The calm… before the storm."

Actress Malaika Arora Khan, who is known for setting an unparalleled fitness standards, added her video of performing yoga and wrote on the platform: " Gratitude post ….. #internationalyogaday."

Chak De India actor Vidya Malvade urged fans to keep themselves fit by practising yoga and wrote on Instagram: " Practice with me this.. #INTERNATIONALYOGADAY For me it’s Today & everyday on & off the mat.  #happyinternationalyogaday."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the citizens of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir at Dal Lake on the occasion of International Day of Yoga on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said the spectacle of enthusiasm and commitment shown by the people of Jammu & Kashmir towards yoga will be immortalized in the minds of people.

The Yoga session in Delhi was led by Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, the Vice Chief of the Army Staff.Besides India, the International Day of Yoga was also observed by all Indian Army contingents deployed in United Nations Missions across the globe. The local population participated in the celebration in overwhelming numbers.
