Intolerance debate: Anil Kapoor feels returning awards is not justified
"No I don’t think so," Kapoor said on the issue of returning awards.
Kapoor said 'intolerance' always existed in the country.
"It is not something which is happening only during the tenure of this government or in the previous government," he said.
"We have been telling this irrespective of whether it was the Congress or the BJP government, that we should live together in harmony here," he said.
Protesting against rising intolerance and coming out in support of the students of Pune's Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) , ten filmmakers, including Dibakar Banerjee and Anant Patwardhan, recently decided to return the nationalawards.
