Jio Studios in collaboration with filmmaker Aanand L Rai proudly unveiled the first poster of their upcoming production Nakhrewaalii, which features debutants Ansh Duggal and Pragati Srivastava in the lead roles.

The film will be released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day release on February 14, 2025.

The Jio Studios-Colour Yellow Productions venture, directed by Rahul Shanklya is set to captivate Rai’s fans yet again, with a fresh perspective on Bollywood rom-coms.

The exciting first glimpse of the film features Ansh in a ghagra, offering a sneak peek into Rai's fearless approach to challenging gender stereotypes in his extensive filmography.

The poster's vibrant and intriguing depiction hints at a story rooted in Hindi heartland, reminiscent of Colour Yellow Productions's legacy  of bringing forward small-town stories.

The makers also promise  fans of the Tanu Weds Manu franchise a similar blend of humour and heart in this new venture.

Expressing his excitement about the project, Aanand L Rai stated, "When we conceptualised Nakhrewaalii, I knew it was the home-ground for colour yellow productions.

"It mirrors stories that are authentic, relatable, and the kind that ignite conversations, but most importantly, it’s entertaining! Coupled with the unwavering backing of Jyoti and Jio Studios, we want to make some magical films that are timeless for all ages."

"In a time when rom-coms aren't being made as often as we would like them to, we are delighted to bring to you the first look of Nakhrewaalii. The film will redefine rom-coms with its fresh storyline from the Hindi heartland," he added.

Talking about the poster, Rai further added, "With Nakhrewaalii we are most proud of our discovery of Ansh and Pragati, they are bundled with talent and freshness and I can't wait for the audience to experience this duo’s energy in theatres on Valentine’s Day 2025."

The Jio Studios and Colour Yellow Productions venture promises to be a complete entertainer, offering a plethora of emotions that will strike a chord with audiences across India.

The film marks Rai's second collaboration with Jyoti Deshpande and Jio Studios, following their recent success with the Marathi franchise Jhimma 2.

Directed by Rahul Shanklya and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, Nakhrewaalii is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma.
