Acting legend Amitabh Bachchan's first glimpse as Ashwatthama in Nag Aswhin's much-anticipated film 'Kalki 2898 AD' has been unveiled by the makers.

In the glimpse, a kid was seen asking Bachchan who he was.

At the end of the video, Bachchan says, "Since the last age, I have been waiting for the coming of the Avatar. I am the son of Dronacharya. I am Ashwatthama."

Sharing the glimpse, Bachchan posted on X, "It's been an experience for me like no other .. The mind to think such a product, the execution the exposure to modern technology and above all the company of colleagues with stratospheric Super star presence .."

Apart from Bachchan, the film features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani in the lead.

The film's timeline will commence with Indian epic Mahabharata and merge with 2989 AD.

Ashwin had said as quoted by News 18, "The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian, and not make it look like Blade Runner.

"The film begins 6000 years behind 2898 AD is 3102 BC, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed."
