Kapoor clan meets PM Modi ahead of Raj Kapoor's centenary celebrations

New Delhi/IBNS: The entire Kapoor family on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence ahead of the centenary celebrations of legendary actor-director-producer Raj Kapoor.

Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival will be held to celebrate the legend's contribution to Indian cinema.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, the granddaughter of Raj Kapoor, shared some glimpses from the meeting on social media.

Kareena thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting and the invitation to commemorate Raj Kapoor's legacy.

She wrote on Instagram, "We are deeply humbled and honored to have been invited by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to commemorate the extraordinary life and legacy of our grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor.

"Thank you Shri Modi ji for such a special afternoon. Your warmth, attention, and support in celebrating this milestone meant the world to us."

"As we celebrate 100 glorious years of Dadaji’s artistry, vision, and contribution to Indian cinema, we honour the timeless impact of his legacy, which continues to inspire us and generations to come," she added.

In one of the pictures from the meeting, Modi is seen with Kareena and her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan.

The Prime Minister also clicked with Saif and Raj Kapoor's grandson, Ranbir Kapoor.

In a piece of paper, Modi was seen writing 'Tim & Jeh', which can be presumed as a note for Saif-Kareena's children.

Ten iconic films of Raj Kapoor will be screened across 135 cinemas in 40 cities during the festival which will be held from December 13-15.

The ticket prices have been kept at Rs. 100.
