Mughal E Azam play mania bowls over one and all

Mumbai, Oct 22 (IBNS): The broadway-style musical play adaption of K.Asif's legendary classic 'Mughal E Azam' seems to have struck a chord & become an instant hit with one and all.

The production helmed by master director Feroz Abbas Khan has opened to near unanimous acclaim and the verdict is loud and clear - this is one experience which is unmissable.

A lavish premiere event was hosted at the NCPA and comprised of the who's who of the celeb world.

From the scions of the first family of Bollywood - Randhir and Rishi Kapoor (A hark back to their illustrious granddad - Prithviraj Kapoor who had essayed the role of Jahapanah Akbar in the original work) to the rich, beautiful and influential of our society - you had them all. Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Irffan Khan, Anubhav Sinha, Raza Murad, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Simone Singh, Fahad Samar, Lubna Adams, Manish Malhotra, Jackky Bhagnani, Aseem Chhabra, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Dhiraj Deshmukh, Perizad Zorabian, Anjali Tendulkar,  Nandita Das, Mita Vashist were amongst the dignitaries who graced the occasion. Top honchos from the corporate world attended the event too.
