Ranveer Singh inching toward entering Rs. 200 crore club with Simmba

As per Sunday's Box Office collection, the movie has already touched Rs. 190 crore earning mark.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Simmba refuses to slow down... Packs a solid punch in Weekend 2... Nears ₹ 200 cr mark... Emerges THIRD HIGHEST GROSSER of 2018, after #Sanju and #Padmaavat... [Week 2] Fri 9.02 cr, Sat 13.32 cr, Sun 17.49 cr. Total: ₹ 190.64 cr. India biz."

It has emerged as third highest grosser of 2018.

Ranveer Singh played the character of a cop in this Bollywood movie and he was paired with Sara Ali Khan who made her B-town debut with Kedarnath last month.

Simmba was the last major release of the year and it shined well on the New Year weekend.

The movie released a week after superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Zero hit the theatre.

Zero failed to gain momentum at the Box Office but Simmba completely roared and left the audience charmed so far as the clash at the ticket counters is concerned.

Since making his debut in Bollywood, Ranveer has continuously produced hits at the Box Office.

In 2018, he started the year with a bang as his historical drama Padmaavat, which was hit by several controversies, emerged as a Box Office hit.

Then came Simmba and it is still dominating the theatre since its release.

Ranveer will be back with Gully Boy in February.

The teaser, which showcased Ranveer's rapping abilities brilliantly, has already earned the attention of fans.

The movie also features actress Alia Bhatt.
