Saroj Khan was my first genuine teacher in film industry: Shah Rukh Khan

Mumbai/IBNS: Describing choreographer Saroj Khan as his first genuine teacher in the film industry, superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Friday said she taught him how to do the 'dip' for film dancing.

"My first genuine teacher in the film industry. She taught me for hours how to do the ‘dip’ for film dancing. One of the most caring, loving & inspiring persona i have ever met. Will miss you Sarojji. May Allah bless her soul. Thank u for looking after me," Khan tweeted.

Noted Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan died due to cardiac arrest in Mumbai on Friday.

She was 71.

Saroj Khan is survived by her husband, son and two daughters.

She was admitted to Mumbai’s Guru Nanak Hospital last month after she complained of trouble in breathing.

She died due to cardiac arrest at 0152 hrs.

An ace choreographer in Bollywood, Saroj Khan directed over 2000 songs in her career.

She is best known in Bollywood for her collaborations with actors Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi.
