Mumbai, Jun 7 (IBNS): Shahid Kapoor, who is busy promoting his upcoming film Udta Punjab with other co stars, has not forgotten his duty as a father.

Shahid has already taken up the responsibilities and have started with the remodeling of his house in Juhu to welcome the new member of the family.

Shahid Kapoor's house which was former known as the bachelor's den and also was designed to suit his eclectic tastes has gone through a big change as he got married.

The big master bedroom became the star couple domain, the huge basement space which was the party area earlier now became Shahid's work area and he started having his meetings and story sessions there.

The superstar admits that a special room is being made for the baby and the Kapoor's are all excited to welcome the new born.

The powder room will soon be converted into a proper shower-cum-toilet because, in all likelihood, guests will be coming to the house, once the baby arrives.

And guess who told Shahid right from the start to be prepared for all these things, none other then his father Pankaj Kapur.

Shahid said “I should have listened to dad from the start. After all, he is more worldly-wise than I am."
