Taapsee Pannu to star opposite Tahir Raj Bhasin in thriller-comedy Looop Lapeta

Mumbai/IBNS: Actress Taapsee Pannu, who has recently bagged Filmfare Award for her performance in Saand Ki Aankh, will be starring opposite actor Tahir Raj Bhasin in upcoming thriller-comedy Looop Lapeta.

Looop Lapeta will be an adaptation of German film Run Lola Run which was written and directed by Tom Tykwer.

The story of the 1998 German film revolves around a woman who needs to obtain 100,000 Deutsche Mark- German currency- in 20 minutes to save her boyfriend's life.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Pannu said she always remain eager to work for good scripts.

"Im greedy for good scripts...," the actress tweeted.

Looop Lapeta, which is scheduled to release on Jan 29, 2021, will be directed by Aakash Bhatia and produced by Sony Pictures India and Ellipsis Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Pannu is waiting for her next film Thappad to release on Feb 28.
