Team Talvar to hold a special screening for Shahid and Shraddha

One can call it a coincidence, but the Meghna Gulzar-directed Talvar has a lot of similarities with last year’s critically acclaimed film, Haider.

An insider says that, “Apart from the release date of film-maker Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider and to-be released Talvar (October 2), there’s a lot in common between the projects. Vishal sir, who directed Haider, has come on board as a producer for Talvar. And Irrfan Khan, who had a pivotal role in last year’s release, will be seen as a CBI officer in this film.”

The similarities don’t end here, the cinematographer and the art director — that worked on Haider ahve also worked on Talvar.

The insider further adds “A few days back, there was a joke going around that it almost feels like the same unit and crew has come together again. Now, the makers have decided to show the film to Shahid and Shraddha, and get their feedback on it,”.

The final date for the screening is yet to be decided, since Shahid and Shraddha are busy with their own commitments.

Priti Shahani of the production house says, “We are proud of this film, and would love to show it to the Haider team.”

Talvar is loosely based around the Noida double murder case and stars powerful performers like Irrfan Khan, Konakana Sen and Neeraj Kabi.

After touring various international film festivals, Talvar is all set to release on Oct 2.
