The Academy posts clip from Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol's iconic movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on its Instagram handle

The Academy's Instagram page had a surprise for Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol fans on Sunday when it posted a clip from the popular Indian onscreen couple's record-breaking 1995-released movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.

The clip featured ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’ song from the movie which has reached an almost cult status in India and movie lovers in this nation.

The movie, which marked the directorial debut of Aditya Chopra, still runs in Mumbai theatre, almost 30 years since it hit the Indian silver screen.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the movie also featured  Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal,  Satish Shah,Anupam Kher, among others.
