Kolkata, Sep 30 (IBNS)  I miss all those childhood memories when my mom would call all my friends for lunch and then we would hangout together in the evening, said Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee after getting a birthday bash from the people of his local area.

Prosenjit Chatterjee turned 57 on Monday and a bash was thrown by the 21 Pally  Sarbojananin Durgotsab Samiti, Ballygunge (his neighbourhood) at a city hotel.

Pallavi Chatterjee, Tollywood actress and Prosenjit’s sister, said, “I am like a mom to him and I know the sacrifice which goes behind becoming a star like Prosenjit.”

Actress Konikika Bandhopadhay present at the celebration shared, “I am lucky to work with Prosenjit and happy to be friends with such an amazing person who is always seen with a new avatar in the reel life."

Prosenjit Chatterjee  said he feels blessed to be working with a team that cares for him every moment.

"Every gift I receive is a memorable one but most importantly I am lucky to work with a team who cares for me every second. Most of my professional life was spent in the Tollywood studio and I still remember everyone. They are like a family to me and this is the most memorable gift one can expect," he said when asked about birthday gifts.

"From my makeup artist to my driver and security they all hold an important place in my life and I am grateful to them," he added.

The event also had its share of surprises for the star.

To surprise the Tollywood star with a gift, there was a figure of him posing in the classic Chirodini Tumi Je Amar style which was made by Sujoy Pal.

The event saw also a live performance by singer Aman Sethia with cahoon artist Pritam Sengupta. The crowd joined the jam together singing Chirodini Tumi Je Amar and Soch Na Sake from Airlift. Jina Isi Ka Naam Hai and Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh were also on his playlist.
