Ajinkya Rahane creates new Test record
Galle, Aug 14 (IBNS): Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane created a record as he became the first non-wicket-keeper player to take eight catches in a Test match.
Catching Rangana Herath at slip off Amit Mishra, Rahane created the record during the third day of the first Test match against Sri Lanka.
He has caught eight catches in total in the two innings.
Rahane failed in the first innings with his willow as he returned to the pavilion without scoring a single run.
