Mumbai, Sept 30 (IBNS) Air India player Allan Dias recently completed his move to Mumbai FC for the 2014-15 season.

Allan joined Air India as a youngster and showed great progress on the field.

The 28 year old defender said, “I am really excited to play in the I-League again. Mumbai FC is a top club & I am at the peak stage of my career and hence it is the right move for me. I am thankful to Khalid bhai who approached me and then convinced me to join Mumbai FC. I am looking forward to meet and train with my new teammates soon.”

Mumbai FC team manager, Henry Picardo, confirmed the signing.

“Yes, Allan has agreed to play for Mumbai FC. He is a strong player, both mentally and physically. The best thing about him is the commitment with which he performs. It helps him maintain his consistency and I am sure he’ll do well here at Mumbai FC. Also, he understands what playing in Mumbai is like. He understands the club’s philosophy and the way the Head Coach wants the team to play," he said.

The Sahar wonderboy took a great leap from playing for his brother’s club, Jolly Boys FC, to captaining the Air India FC. Allan will be playing in the I-League after a gap of two years.

His playing career also includes stints with RCF, Sea View and Jolly Boys FC, all as a youngster.
