Atletico de Kolkata embraces Bangladeshi footballer Mamunul Islam
Talking at the sidelines of this event a visibly excited Mohammed Mamunul Islam said, “Wearing the Atlético de Kolkata colours gives me immense satisfaction as a footballer today. My goal will be to play a real part in constructing something special in the football capital of India. The passion of the fans and the love for the game in Kolkata is second to none and I experienced that entirely when I played here during the IFA Shield. Besides being Bangladesh National Team skipper, 25 year old, Mamunul Islam, also leads Bangladesh Premier League champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club. Mamunul, also represented the Under-23 national team at the recently concluded Asian Games in South Korea, and joined Atlético de Kolkata post his national duty. Mamunul wowed the spectators in Kolkata during the IFA Shield matches with his skills and the city of joy is looking forward to seeing him in action soon again in their very own Atlético de Kolkata colours scorching the midfield.
