Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull appreciates skipper Steve Smith, team after Ashes victory
Sydney, Dec 19 (IBNS): Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has welcomed his cricket side's performance as they ensured that the iconic Ashes returns to the country.
Appreciating Australian skipper Steve Smith, Turnbull tweeted: "The Ashes are coming home! Well done @stevesmith49 and the Australian cricket team. #Ashes @CricketAus."
With two Tests to be played, Australia are already 3-0 up in the Ashes series.
Australia defeated England comprehensively in the first three matches of the series.
The remaining two Tests will be played in Melbourne starting on Boxing Day and in Sydney from Jan 3.
