Brian Lara to participate in Festival of Cricket

Sydney, Dec 2 (IBNS): Former West Indies skipper Brian Lara will participate in the Western Australia's Festival of Cricket, reports said.

"West Indies legend Brian Lara has been confirmed as a starter in the Western Australia Festival of Cricket Twenty20 exhibition match against the Perth Scorchers," read the Cricket Australia website.

He will play alongside former Australian cricketers like Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting and Andrew Symonds.

The match will be played on Dec 13.

Lara retired from international cricket in 2007.
