Cheetah Squadron emerges victorious

Ezhimala, Aug 27 (IBNS): The finals of Inter Squadron Boxing Championship for Autumn Term 2016 was conducted at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala on Saturday.

A total of 80 cadets from six squadrons of the Academy competed for the prestigious trophy.

A total of 40 bouts were conducted in eight different categories, which include Light Fly, Fly, Bantam, Light, Light Welter, Welter Middle and Light Heavy throughout whole of last week. 

Cheetah Squadron emerged victors in the Inter squadron Boxing Championship.

Rear Admiral MD Suresh, NM, Deputy Commandant, INA presented the Inter squadron Boxing Championship Trophy and individual medals to the proud winners. 

He congratulated the winning Squadron and emphasised the importance of staying calm and focused under pressure, be aggressive and to have physical as well as mental courage to rise after every fall with greater strength and be successful.
