Chess: Ten players share lead

Kolkata, Mar 31 (IBNS): With two wins on Day 2 of the 52nd State Chess Championship, top seeds like Kunal Chatterjee, Laltu Chatterjee, Mitrabha Guha, Kaustuv Kundu, Rajdeep Sarkar, Suvradeepta Das, Rupankar Nath, Debarshi Mukherjee, Anurag Jaiswa and Debashis Mukherjee, who are vying for the title, maintained lead with 4 points each after 4th round on Monday.


Two old warriors, Dilip Das (1.5), runners of 2012 and Dyutimoy Mukherjee (3) had a mixed day. 

 With two top seeds, defending champion Prantik Roy and Debaditya Sinha Biswas, were forced to withdraw under unavoidable circumstances, now the title race becomes wide open. 
Three-time former champion Kunal Kumar Chatterjee, who did not participate in last few championships, is now leading the board as strong contender.
