Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi wishes Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik for clinching Rio bronze

New Delhi, Aug 18 (IBNS): Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi on Thursday congratulated wrestler Sakshi Malik after she clinched bronze medal at the Olympics on Thursday.


"Congress President Smt Sonia Gandhi has congratulated Sakshi Malik on winning the Bronze Medal at the Rio Olympics. Terming it as a moment," Congress tweeted quoting Gandhi.

" of Pride & Honour for India, Smt Gandhi said, Sakshi's extraordinary journey & success is inspiring," the party tweeted quoting her.

Ending India's medal drought in the ongoing Rio Olympics, Sakshi Malik, a female grappler, contesting in the 58kg freestyle bout, clinched bronze.
