CWG: Harpreet Singh clinches silver

Glasgow, July 29 (IBNS) Harpreet Singh clinched a silver in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event of the ongoing Commonwealth Games here on Tuesday.

He kept India's hopes intact after Olympic medal winning shooter Vijay Kumar failed to qualify for the final round.

Singh clinched the silver with 21 points.

Australia's David J Chapman clinched bronze with 23 points while England's Kristian Callaghan grabbed bronze.

Indian shooter  Manavjit Singh Sandhu won the bronze medal in men's trap shooting event.
