Darren Sammy fails to find a place in WICB contract list

St. John's , Jan 9 (IBNS) West Indies Twenty20 captain Darren Sammy has not been named in the list of contracted players list released by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

Senior players Andre Russell, Sulieman Benn, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Dwayne Bravo have not been named in the list.

Hard-hitting West Indies batsman Chris Gayle, who has turned down the central contract several times in the past, could not find a place in the list.

The board has retained 15 players for the period, Oct 1, 2015 to Sept 30, 2016.
