New Delhi, July 18 (IBNS): Fans of MS Dhoni are once again speculating over the significance of a move by him during the last ODI match against England when the former Indian skipper took the ball from the umpire at the end of the proceedings.

Speculations over Dhoni's retirement from international cricket have always been on the limelight and his slow batting in recent two matches in England have added oil to the fire.

England defeated India in the third match to clinch the series against India.

At the end of the match, Dhoni was seen taking the ball from the umpires as they were walking towards the pavilion.

One Twitter user Trends Dhoni writes: "Big Question is Why MS Dhoni took the ball from umpires at the end of match?."

Another netizen Omayr Rajput posted: "MS Dhoni is going to retire soon. Mark my words. Screenshot lelo."

One Aditya said: "Plzz Don't do this again @msdhoni ."

Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014.

Under his leadership, India have won 50-over World Cup in 2011 and the World Twenty20 in 2007.

He also guided the side to  ICC Champions Trophy victory in 2013.
