Hyderabad, Jan 10 (IBNS): In a bid to start a new career, former Indian skipper Mohd Azharuddin has filed nomination for the post of the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), media reports said.

The election for the post is scheduled to be held on Jan 17.

“Things are in real bad shape and I am moved by the way people have been saying so many things about Hyderabad cricket. The falling standards and the urge to do something different and with a purpose are the reasons for me to make this move,” Azhar told The Hindu after filing the nominations.
