Paris: Novak Djokovic ended the French Open run of Spanish giant Rafael Nadal by beating him in the semi-final clash on Friday.

Nadal is known for his strong performance in French Open.

He had won the title for the last four years. A victory in this edition would have ensured a win for the fifth straight time.

Djokovic defeated him 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-4) 6-2.

Djokovic will now face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the mega event.

The opponent had reached the final by defeating German sixth seed Alexander Zverev in a five-set epic clash.

“Each time you step on the court with him, you know that you have to kind of climb Mount Everest to win against this guy here,” Djokovic was quoted as saying by the French Open website after the four hour and 11-minute tussle.
