Gautam Gambhir turns 36, cricket world wishes him

New Delhi, Oct 14 (IBNS): India's World T20 and World Cup winning star Gautam Gambhir turned 36 on Saturday.

Gautam is considered as one of the best opening batsman to have played for India.

Indian cricketers and cricketing world wished Gambhir on the special day of the year.

Wishing him, ex-cricketer VVS Laxman tweeted: "Wishing you a very Happy Birthday @GautamGambhir . May you have a great year ahead. "

Spinner Harbhajan Singh wished him by saying: "Wishing a fantastic birthday to @GautamGambhir! Enjoy your day to the fullest. God bless! "

Another Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan posted: "Happy birthday gauti bhai @GautamGambhir ..have a great day ahead and all the best for #GGF ."

The ICC's official Twitter handle greeted him by posting :"He's one of 12 batsmen to score over 10,000 international runs for India - Happy 36th Birthday to @GautamGambhir! "

Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma posted: "To one of the World Cup heroes, played an absolute game changing knock in both World Cup finals. Many many happy returns of the day @GautamGambhir."

Cricketer Suresh Raina wished him by saying :"Your optimistic spirit always encourages others! Your drive and determination is admirable! Have a terrific Birthday @GautamGambhir ."

Gambhir plays as the skipper of the IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders.

KKR greeted their captain by saying :"Here's wishing our Captain Fantastic, @GautamGambhir a very #HappyBirthday! For more photos http://bit.ly/GautamGambhir_Bday …."

BCCI wished him by posting the small message that read: "Here's wishing @GautamGambhir a very happy birthday #HappyBirthdayGauti."
