India announce 13-member squad for Perth Test against Australia

Perth, Dec 13 (IBNS): India have announced their 13-member squad to take on Australia in the second Test match beginning at Perth from Friday.

Two players- Rohit Sharma and Ravinchadran Ashwin- who had suffered injuries during the first Test is set to miss the Perth encounter.

Hanuma Vihari, Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been included in the 13-member team.

Ashwin has a left-sided abdominal strain. He is receiving treatment at the moment.

Rohit jarred his lower back while fielding in the Adelaide Test match. He is undergoing treatment.

After the first Test, young Prithvi Shaw, who bats at the top of the batting order, is also missing the Perth match. He is yet to recover fully from his left ankle injury.

Winning the first Test match by 31 runs, India began the four-match Test series by taking a lead of 1-0.

India's 13-member squad: Virat Kohli (C), M Vijay, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (VC), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav.
