India-New Zealand semi-final called off, match to resume tomorrow

Manchester, Jul 8 (IBNS): The India-New Zealand World Cup semi-final match has been called off on Tuesday after the game was stopped due to heavy rains at 46.1 overs with New Zealand batting and reaching a score of 211/5.

The match will resume on Wednesday and New Zealand will have 3.5 overs to bat.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss  earlier in the day and opted to bat against India in the knock-out stage of the semi-final clash of the ICC Cricket World Cup at Old Trafford.

Jasprit Bumrah will resume the bowling when the match starts on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, India will bat after New Zealand complete their innings.
