India struggle again, England dominate at 62-0

London, Aug 15 (IBNS) England dominated the first day of the fifth and final Test match against India as the home side first bowled out the visitors for 148 and then scored 62 runs without losing a single wicket at stumps here on Friday.

England still trail India by 86 runs.

Alastair Cook (24*) and Sam Robson  (33*) are currently at the crease and will look to settle for a huge total on Saturday and keep the match out of India's grip.

Indian bowlers did not find any help from the conditions though their English counterparts dominated the match.

Indian batsmen continued their poor show in the final Test as well with only MS Dhoni (82), Murali Vijay (18) and R Aswin (13) reaching the double figure mark.

Gautam Gambhir (0), Cheteshwar Pujara (4), Virat Kohli (6), Ajinkya Rahane(0) surrendered to the English bowlers.

Struggling ay 90-9, tt was only Dhoni who fought and helped his side cross the 100-mark.

Dhoni and Ishant Sharma (7*) added 58 runs in the tenth wicket partnership to help the side reach 148.

English bowlers used the conditions well and destroyed the Indian batting line up.

James Anderson (2-51), Stuart Broad (2-27), Chris Jordan (3-32) and Chris Woakes (3-30) were all successful for the hosts.
India trail 2-1 in the series.
