India win bronze in World Youth Bridge Championship
Kolkata/UNI: India, represented by Sagnik Roy, Sayantan Kushari, Souvik Kar, Pritam Das, Wrik Chakraborty and Swarnashish Chatterjee, added one more feather in their cap when they won the bronze medal defeating China in the 18th World Youth Team Bridge Championship (under 31) held at Veldhoven, Netherlands.
The championship was held from July 31 to August 7.
India, coached by former Asiad gold medalist Shibnath Dey Sarkar, narrowly lost to France in the semifinal but came back strongly to beat China in the play-off for bronze.
