Raipur, May 20 (IBNS) Needing six runs of the last two balls, Karun Nair hit two fours to give his side, Delhi Daredevils, a much needed win against Sunrisers Hyderabad, here on Friday.

Nair remained unbeaten at 83 runs off 59 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes. He was adjudged the Player of the match.

The Delhi team lost four wickets during the chase.

Starting the chase, DD lost opener Quinton de Kock (2) for nine runs on board.

A 73-run partnership between Rishabh Pant (32) and Karun Nair steadied the ship.

A lack of concentration cost Pant his wicket, who was caught napping between the wickets.

A 35-run partnership was forged by JP Duminy (17) and Nair, followed by another 26-run partnership between Nair and Brathwaite (10) for the ensuing wicket.

Barinder Sran picked up two wickets for his side, while Mustafizur Rahman finished with one.

Asked to bat first, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen put up 158 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Skipper David Warner top scored with 73 runs.

Warner played 56 balls, hitting eight fours and a six.

All the other batsmen apart from Deepak Hooda got a start, but failed to make it count.
