Kolkata Knight Riders eye on to continue winning momentum against Kings XI Punjab at Eden Gardens

Kolkata, Apr 21 (IBNS): Kolkata Knight Riders will look to make a hat-trick of wins at the Eden Gardens as they will face in-form Kings XI Punjab in the 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Saturday.

In the match which will begin at 4 pm, Chris Gayle will certainly be in Knight Riders' game plan as the Windies left-hander went for a hundred in the last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, days after scoring 63 runs from 33 balls against Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Led by Dinesh Karthik, Knight Riders are having a bunch of in-form players too. Starting from Nitish Rana to skipper Karthik, the all-round performances by the Knights have set the tone of the home team in the tournament.

In the last match, Knight Riders had outplayed Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets, leaving no inch of ground to Ajinkya Rahane and his men.

Both the teams have won three matches so far but Knight Riders are ahead of Kings XI Punjab in the points table due to higher net run rate.

While Knights are at the second spot, Ravichandran Ashwin's Kings XI Punjab attained the fourth position.
