NCC girls mountaineering expedition to Mt Rudugaira flagged off

New Delhi, Aug 28 (IBNS): The NCC Girls Expedition to Mt Rudugaira was flagged-off by Rear Admiral Kapil Gupta, Addl Director General (A), National Cadets Corp from New Delhi.

The team is led by Col OK Pawar and Sub Maj Prabhu Dayal, an Everester.

The expedition will be going to the Garhwal Hills near Gangotri and will train at Uttarkashi before going for ice-craft training and training at high altitude region before attempting Mt Rudugaira Peak.

This is the 73th Mountaineering Expedition being conducted by the NCC.

The expedition will help imbibe the qualities of courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership and a spirit of adventure amongst the NCC cadets.
