Novak Djokovic beats Rafael Nadal to win Australian Open

Melbourne, Jan 27 (IBNS): Serbian Tennis star Novak Djokovic on Sunday defeated Spanish icon Rafael Nadal to lift the Australian Open title here.

Novak defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-2, 6-3.

The final clash lasted for little over two hours.

This was Novak's seventh Australian Open title.

The duo had met each other in a Grand Slam final for the eighth time in their careers.

Fans were expecting an equally exciting final clash like the one witnessed in 2012 when Djokovic won the title in five sets.
