Islamabad, Sept 20 (IBNS): The Pakistan Cricket Board has banned batsman Khalid Latif for five years in connection with spot-fixing scam during the Pakistan Super League.

The Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) anti-corruption tribunal has also fined the cricketer PKR 1 million.

"Anti Corruption Tribunal has found Khalid Latif guiltily of all charges, therefore has announced a ban of 5 years & a fine of PKR 1 Million," PCB Official tweeted.

As per a Geo News report, the 31-year-old, who represented Pakistan and PSL franchise Islamabad United, was found guilty of all six charges including that of persuading a few other cricketers including teammates Mohammad Irfan and Sharjeel Khan to get involved in spot-fixing, which marred the opening day of the PSL second edition held in Dubai earlier this year.
