R Ashwin to replace injured Ravindra Jadeja

New Delhi, Mar 10 (IBNS): The All-India Senior Selection Committee of the BCCI on Saturday named Indian spinner R Ashwin as the replacement for injured Ravindra Jadeja in the Rest of India squad for the Paytm Z R Irani Cup.

Jadeja suffered a side strain and has been adviced rest, read a BCCI statement.


Ashwin missed the recently concluded Paytm Prof D B Deodhar Trophy as he was adviced a week's rest. 


He has now recovered and is declared fit to play.


The Rest of India will face Vidarbha, the Paytm Ranji Trophy champions in Nagpur from Mar 14-18, 2018.
