Rio, Aug 15 (IBNS): Rising a new hope for a medal, Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth on Monday moved to the quarter-finals of the men's singles event of the Rio Olympics here.

He defeated Denmark's Jan Jorgensen in the Round of 16 clash.

He defeated his opponent  21-19, 21-19 .
