Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 23 runs
Chester-le-Street, July 1 (IBNS): West Indies lost to Sri Lanka by 23 runs in a nail biting-finish of a cricket world cup match here on Monday evening.
Batting first, Sri Lanka put up a formidable 338 riding on Fernando's 104.
West Indies could only score 315 when the balls ran out.
Both Sri Lanka and West Indies are virtually out of the world cup race now.
