Sydney, June 25 (IBNS): Australian cricket club Sydney Thunder on Saturday said reports on signing Indian woman cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur to the reigning Women’s Big Bash League Champions side is currently 'premature'.

However, the club said Sydney Thunder General Manager Nick Cummins has confirmed the interest in bringing her to the side.

“We have been in discussions with Harmanpreet about joining Sydney Thunder for WBBL02,” Sydney Thunder General Manager Nick Cummins was quoted as saying by the club website.

"At the moment no contract has been signed by the player or the club,” he confirmed.
