Wales football captain Ashley Williams joins Everton

London, Aug 11 (IBNS): Wales football captain Ashley Williams has joined British football club Everton.

The footballer has signed a three-year deal with the club till June 2019.

He was skipper of the Wales side during their march to the Euro 2016 semi-finals.

Williams was quoted  as saying by the club website: “I’ve had eight great years at Swansea and, for me, the new challenge was something I felt I needed, so I’m delighted to have joined Everton."
