Women's World Cup: India beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets

Melbourne/IBNS: India defeated Sri Lanka comprehensively by seven wickets in a group match of Women's World Cup here on Saturday.

Chasing a target of 114, India scored 116/3 in 14.4 overs.

Shafali Verma was the top scorer for India with her 47-run innings.

Earlier India restricted Sri Lanka to 113/9 in 20 overs.

Chamari Athapaththu was the highest scorer for Sri Lanka with her 33-run innings.

She took 24 balls to score the runs.

Kavisha Dilhari scored 25 off 16 balls.

Radha Yadav picked four wickets for 23 runs for India.

India have already qualified for the semifinals.
